Vetchpaw had made her way down to the beach late in the afternoon, her bright blue eyes locked on the little bit of freedom she could have. It was something rare for the little cat, though she was skittish she was shoved with her mentor and others she wasn't exactly fond of. The extremely small molly had just wanted to be free from a while, to be able to wander without a worry. Of course not everything could be perfect, little Vetchpaw lived a difficult life that others didn't exactly know about.
The eleven moon old apprentice looked as if she were six moons. Her little paws and small body got her picked on constantly. She was a dainty cat and many would pick on her and push her around as she was only good at tracking things down. Soon enough Vetchpaw was at the water, her paws just barely in the waves. Everyone always warned her there was a higher chance of the beach taking her than any other cat but why would she care? It was gorgeous down here and thats really all the mattered to her in the end.
Sitting down Vetchpaw's blue eyes locked on the sky ahead, silverpelt just barely starting to show itself this gorgeous night.

He was sick again. Lizardpaw hated being sick; it made him even grumpier than usual. It did get him out of apprentice duties for the day, though, and for that he was grateful. He spent the majority of the day whiling away the hours sunbathing on one of the logs outside camp, but after a while the Clan had started to annoy him. And so he took a long walk down the sandy beach.
With disgust, he realized his trek had brought him to the twoleg beach. He hated this place. He hated this place and he hated twolegs and everything they did and touched. He was about to turn and leave when he spotted another cat, sitting at the water's edge. Lizardpaw's eyes narrowed as he noted their size. Either there was a new apprentice he wasn't aware of, or it was Vetchpaw. What on Earth was she doing out here, alone?
He stomped over to the smaller apprentice, looming over her and frowning. "Enjoying yourself?" He asked, and though his words might have been construed as friendly, there was snide in his voice. Anyone who came to twoleg beach for enjoyment was, in his opinion, not a real Clan cat at all.
Seeing her stare so intently at the sky, he followed her gaze, peering up at the heavens. However, this just made him sneeze, so he looked back down. "Praying StarClan will make you bigger? I wouldn't stake a mouse on it," he mewed with a smirk.

Vetchpaw's body instantly grew tense, she heard him before he even spoke a word. The tiny cat always listened when it came to her clan mates paw steps, it was the only thing she was good at and right now... The meanest cat of her moon was right behind her. So what is a skittish cat to do than nearly jump out of her fur and run.. Well Vetchpaw couldn't bring herself to do that as the sick tom spoke.
"I wasn't p-praying to Starclan.." She started, turning to look at him. Her bright blue eyes locked on the tom now, though she stuttered it didn't seem like she was going to back off. "I was t-trying to get away from c-camp." The small molly was shaking at this point, scared beyond her own ability. She knew how Lizardpaw felt about the twoleg beach and being here wasn't going to help his opinion of her, but that's when it hit her.
"Why are you h-here, Lizardpaw." Vetchpaw's voice was slowly dropping to a terrified whisper, unable to express herself to the nasty tom. She had to admit, he was nicer than her.. I guess you'd call him her mate, but he was still scary as it is. "I thought you weren't fond of t-this place."
