personality - History: Acaciatail was born of humble beginnings.
Asterfoot and Skipperfrost were just warriors, simple cats who had been born loners and who had both, independent and unknowing of one another, sought the rumored clans. Asterfoot, a golden coated female once named Sunshine, was born to a former kittypet mother who had fled her two legs under the guise of love. Sunshine and her littermates knew only the love of that mother, for their father abandoned them shortly after they were born. It was enough though; Sunshine grew up knowing she wanted more and only the best in her life and for whatever family she might one day have. It was that love, her mother's, that drove her to find the clans she'd overhead other cat's talking about.
Skipperfrost's story would have never been anything more than any other ambitious but opportunity-less loner's if he hadn't won just the right fight for some food. A hungry tabby convinced the then Twig to share in exchange for information about a group of cats that would give the adventurous young tom just the excitement he wanted. Eager, the pair parted ways as soon as the roadkill rabbit was picked clean.
They came upon Cliffclan within moons of one another and, as these things tend to happen, it was not quite love from first sight. Asterfoot, just a 'paw despite her dozen moons, was less than impressed with fifteen moon old Skipperpaw and his showing off. But he couldn't help it. As he would one day tell their kits, there was just something about the way she leapt from stone to stone that kept him mesmerized. Luckily, experience and a warrior name curbed Skipperfrost's taste for adventure and exploits and, after a few seasons, his otherwise easy going nature won Asterfoot over.
It took the pair a few more seasons before they decided to birth a litter. Both, though skilled and valued warriors who were very much a part of the clan, felt they had a duty to serve and earn their place beyond any doubt. Once they felt they had done their new home justice, they got down to the business of giving Cliffclan future warriors.
Acaciakit, Pipekit and Magnoliakit might have been a pawful for any other cats, but Asterfoot and Skipperfrost took the three shes and one tom well in stride. Acaciakit and Pipekit were more their mother's young: quiet and thoughtful until they weren't. Magnoliakit was all energy and persuasion, pulling her siblings into endless adventures, the colorful details of which the other two easily supplied.
It was a quick kithood, by any standards.
Acaciapaw was a glowing apprentice, who thrived under a careful and well suited mentorship. Thoughtful, patient and precise, she took ever task she was given and broke it down until it was perfected--sometimes to the mildly amusement and frustration of her mentor, already ready for the next skill to be taught. Nonetheless, with a little give and take, she proved an apt fighter and hunter with an impressive ability to balance and effortlessly move from place to place, even in the dangerous territory of the clan.
Of course, as they tend to, things were moving far too easily in a time when chaos and disaster still seemed want to smother the newly born clans.
Though leafbare was nearly always a mild season, there came one at the end of Acaciapaw's apprenticeship that was unusually both damp and chilled. One early morning, returning from a hunting trip with her littermates and their mentors, a loose rock and a frosty path combined to spell disaster as Pipepaw, larger and less stealthy than his sisters, lost his footing while tugging along a small bird he had caught. Horrified but helpless, the five other cats were forced to watch as the sturdy ginger tom tumbled to his death, broken and bleeding below.
Just on the cup of eleven moons old, Acaciapaw and Magnoliapaw said goodbye to their only brother, moving sluggishly through the ends of their training.
Impressed by their dedication to their duties in spite of the heavy loss, they were given their warrior names a moon later: Acaciatail and Magnolia--.
Since then, Acaciatail has become a little more quiet and a little more careful, though these qualities have always been a part of her nature anyhow. She has served her clan dutifully but with a distinct lack of spark. Time, of course, and the company of clanmates will heal these wounds.
