You need peace of mind? Here's a piece of mine
All I need's a line, but sometimes I don't always find the words to rhyme
To express how I'm really feeling at that time. Lightningpaw 9 Moons · Male · PineClan · Apprentice ∙ Hetero ∙ full image - Pelt: Black and white; short hair
- Eyes: Green
- Build: Medium sized when full grown. Will be toned but not excessively muscular.
- Other: Four light scars on his left cheek; left by one of his friends.
- Brief Description: Black and white tom with piercing green eyes
appearance - General: Lightningpaw is usually a pretty open cat, tending to come off a bit sarcastic at first. Once you get to know him, though, he's a fun, energetic apprentice who always wants to impress others and never falter or mess up in front of his mentor. He'd do anything for his friends and wants to grow up to be the best PineClan warrior he can be. He's loyal to PineClan and PineClan alone.

personality - History: Lightningpaw was kitted during a severe storm. His mother named him Lightningkit after the thunder that crashed against the tiny kit's new, keening mew. He was his mother's only kit. His life in the nursery was as average and noncommittal as
any new kit's could be. He was born and raised on a mother's love and taught as many manners as she could cram into his little head. No other queens entered the nursery during his stay there with his mother. He spent most of his time quietly sleeping in his nest or sitting just outside the bramble entrance to the nursery. Sometimes the elders would visit to fuss over him, and once or twice he saw his father for the briefest of seconds. The seasons changed, snow came, the ground frosted over. . . The sun came once more and melted the frost.
Six moons passed, and he was finally named a 'paw. His naming ceremony was a day he'd never forget. His mother had groomed him for what seemed like hours, trying to make him presentable for his big day. He would be the only apprentice named that morning. Lightningkit was nervous, but he was also excited. So many adventures awaited him! He had only heard of hunting and battle training and border patrols, and seen the older apprentices practice a couple of moves in the clearing once or twice, but his mother never allowed him to join in. Well, today he'd find out what it would be like to be apart of all of that himself!
When he was called up in front of the Clan by his leader, and when she said the words that would make him a PineClan apprentice, his Clanmates cheered for him and congratulated him by calling out his new name. Lightningpaw felt himself flush, but he pulled himself up taller and beamed as he padded through the throng back to his mother. Her praise was the best.
A few moons of training went by, and he already felt stronger. He was more knowledgeable of the warrior code, no longer a kit wishing to be the apprentice he used to spy on while he sparred. He knew how to hunt, a good amount of fighting moves (though basic), and he knew what to look for on border patrols. He had made friends, good friends, and he couldn't think of a better beginning to his life as a soon to be PineClan warrior.
