bassstripe: sixty six moon warrior
Bassstripe, raised in a large family himself, is one of the shyer cats in the family. He's a sweet guy - a little insecure and a little gruff, and maybe he doesn't know how to say things just right, but he's still a nice guy. Though he isn't the most attractive in the clan, nor the most intelligent or skilled, Bassstripe has a passion and a commitment for making BeachClan better. Even though he isn't comfortable around loads of cats, he speaks when he needs to and has a group of small friends that he is very vocal with.
Grackleface was a dream come true to him - she was beautiful and youthful, not so good at hunting, and very charismatic. Their relationship started when Grackleface proposed that he catch a mouse for her, and in return she would get him all sorts of interesting things from the twolegs. After a while, it became routine, and in a short time it was no wonder Basstripe had gained weight and Grackleface slimmed down. They were very close friends, and though they had an age gap, it wasn't long before Grackleface 'proposed' to him with a variety of trinkets and shells she had been collecting. Of course he accepted - romance wasn't something he'd ever expected in life.
Can you imagine? Two young warriors in love, giving birth to children, beginning to raise a family together – and all of a sudden the woman you love is swiped from out under you. Bassstripe backed off from Grackleface as she began to return to warrior duties when her children were five moons; but she wanted none of that. She wanted things to go back to the way they were before, and the way she did that was by taunting twolegs. After birth her body and her body changed, she had a somewhat slower reaction time. And on that very day, when her children were five moons, she was swiped by twolegs. Bassstripe was the first to go out looking for her and the last to return; he was absolutely devastated.
Of course he had to act like he wasn't – and while others were worried for him and gave him confused glances, Bassstripe was trying to get over it. He would never see his beautiful mate again, she was probably a kittypet with her caws cut. He would probably never have another litter with her again, and he would probably never see her face again. Depressed, he began to isolate himself again into his little group of friends. However, it wasn't long before tragedy struck again (but out of tragedy grew romance). His best friend – name undisclosed & up to you – died to malaria, leaving his mate behind. Falconcloud and Bassstripe fell in love, or maybe it was a patch of mutual hurt, and they officially became mates just barely a season after Peeper & co.'s mother had disappeared. When Peeperpelt was a young warrior, Bassstripe fathered his second litter.
Bassstripe has a broken relationship with his first litter, but better with his second; during the last moon of his children's kittenhood he withdrew into his shell, leaving his children with no parents (this being the cause of Peeperpelt's self-esteem issues). And after they had been apprentices for two moons and their father got together with an unknown she-cat, Peeperpelt became upset and refused to talk to him, calling him a traitor. She believes her mother deserved better, and while Bassstripe is sad that she feels that way, he knows her anger is justified. The pair don't talk much.

grackleface: fifty four moons
The only surviving daughter of two senior warriors, Grackleface was healthy and beautiful even as a kitten. She was doted on by her parents, and though she was a little fiesty and demanding at times, her parents loved her and she grew into an adult any BeachClanner could have been proud of. She wasn't flawless – though she was charismatic and charming, she lacked skills to make it in the warriors world. She loved collecting trinkets from twolegs and taking food from them. She was in love with herself and everyone in the clan, and she was certain that everyone felt the same way about her – even when she was wrong, she laughed it off. She was self-confident and vocal and let everybody know what she was thinking.
When she met Bassstripe, she thought she could never find a cat more unlike her. He was older than her, but he was more soft-spoken and shy. After that first day, where she had demanded he catch her a mouse in exchange for some bread, she made it her goal to figure out who he was. What he was. How could anyone be as asocial as he was? And slowly the two began to fall in love – and she took the executive decision to propose to him to be her mate. The couple wasn't exactly favored by the clan, but seeing Grackleface happy made a lot of warriors in return happy, and it was a fair trade for everyone.
Their relationship was a give and take; she'd catch him bread and he'd feed her prey. And after she became pregnant, she promised she would love and raise her kids just as well as her parents had raised her. After a few moons, she gave birth to four beautiful kittens, with their father's fur and their mother's build; something that Bassstripe joked was the perfect combination. And during the first five moons, she kept her promise. She doted on her children as best she could, a feat considering there were four of them always wriggling around and wrestling and fighting. And they had what you could call a happy family, until the incident.
Grackleface was impatient about being a queen – she complained almost daily about her muscles decaying. And when she was finally let out the nursery, she immediately went to the twolegs beach – a mistake she would come to regret. Not used to how birthing had changed her body, she could only awkwardly scrabble about as she was taken away by the twolegs catcher.
Anything past here is up to the roleplayer, but if she returns PLEASE join IC. Maybe she's still a kittypet, or maybe she escaped and is a loner. Whatever.

Bassstripe was a lot more stern about his second mate's activities than his first – though he loved bread just as much as the next BeachClanner, he absolutely refused to let her go near the twolegs. And despite the extra rules put on her, Falconcloud was content with Bassstripe. It wasn't a whirlwind romance and netiher Bassstripe nor Falconcloud were swept off of their feet. Their love was born out of mutual understanding and respect for one another, and the boundaries bothered her very little.
A quick personality thing for Falconcloud would be loving, day-dreamy, mature, and understanding. She wanted to be a good mother to her mate's children but was rejected by the majority of them because she was trying to replace their father.
A mere fourteen moons older than her, the first thing Peeperpelt thought when Falconcloud and Bassstripe got together was how disgusting it was to mate with someone still in the nursery when he became in the warrior. She'd never say that, though, and prefers to redirect her anger and angst onto Falconcloud for being the straw that broke the camel's back; the one last dividing factor that made her father inaccessible to her. It doesn't matter that the pair of them initiated the romance, or whatever else – it was the thought that Bassstripe was trying to replace Grackleface that really got on her nerves. Grackleface and Falconcloud were a lot alike; Falconcloud a little less fiesty, a little more mature, and a lot less willing to go next to twolegs, especially at the urging of Bassstripe not to.
kestrelfoot: thirty moon warrior
Nobody really knows which of Grackleface and Bassstripe's kittens came first – they all looked so alike at birth, after all – Kestrelfoot always proclaims that he's the eldest, and even such a nonsensical claim has given the rest of his littermates to avoid him. With a confidence and entitlement that surpassed even Grackleface, he often harassed and bullied his siblings into playing with him and exploring around camp, often just barely sneaking out of camp with his siblings hesitantly trailing behind him. Luckily it never caused too many problems, and the litter was relatively healthy throughout their childhood. Kestrelfoot was always the quick leader or deputy who always overpowered himself in games, making others not want to play with him. His siblings, that is.
After Grackleface left, Kestrelfoot became more of a bully than the kind and confident big brother, his self confidence quickly depleting as their father one day stopped visiting them. Shaky relations with his family became even shakier, with Peeperpelt one day nearly crying as a result of something mean he once said. Of course, the other queens in the nursery assumed this was normal behavior for kittens and let him continue it, leading him on the road to being a little manipulative.
If there is a word for Kestrelfoot, it is entitled. Not unlike Grackleface, but taken to the extreme, Kestrelfoot wants things and he will do whatever he can to get them, including ambitious underground routes that others might avoid. He can be a bit violent and he has a mouth on him when things don't go his way, but when he gets what he wants or is being humored/complimented he can be very pleasant. He is quick-minded and quick-footed, a skill useful in battle.
